Pain Management

At East Maryland Animal Hospital, we strongly believe that our pets should never suffer through unnecessary pain. Any procedure that humans feel pain with, it is likely that our animals do as well.  It is our top priority to minimize any possible discomfort for our patients associated with surgery or other medical procedures or problems.  We develop a pain management protocol specific to each patient's needs and administer both pre- and post-operative pain relief.  Some hospitals have NO post-operative pain medication.  Your pet will also be sent home with appropriate and complete pain management medicine.

East Maryland is one of the few animal hospitals in Arizona that have this new, innovative technology of the therapeutic K-Laser. It decreases pain and inflammation on the cellular level, and promotes healing. It not only helps our surgery patients recover with less pain, but can also help with problems like arthritis! Several sessions can be purchased in a package for a discounted price. Many of our patients with chronic pain that are not candidates for medical management or drugs are benefiting from these holistic, safe pain treatments.
